Ralph Hanover (Meadow Skipper-Ravina Hanover) wins the Pacing Triple Crown.

1984
The $2,161,000 Woodrow Wilson Pace, the richest race in history, is won by 2- year-old Nihilator at The Meadowlands. The Breeders Crown series of races are established.

1985
Prakas (Speedy Crown-Prudy Hanover) sets a single season earnings record for trotters of over $1.61 million. A $505,000 record auction price was paid for a pacing racemare, Bree's Brief, at The Garden State Sales Company sale at The Meadowlands. Nihilator (Niatross-Margie's Melody) retires as the richest pacer ever with earnings of $3,225,653. Delvin Miller forms The Delvin Miller Amateur Drivers Association.

1986
Trainer-driver William Haughton (1913-1986) dies as a result of a racing accident at Yonkers Raceway. A record auction price of $800,000 is paid for a trotting broodmare, Winky's Gill (Bonefish-Lassie Blue Chip) at The Harrisburg Sale.

1987
Mack Lobell (Mystic Park-Matina Hanover) lowers the trotting record to 1:52.1 at Springfield, Illinois. Driver John Campbell becomes the first driver to win $10 million in purses in a single season. Herve Filion wins his 15th dash winning title for drivers.

1991
John Campbell goes over $100 million in career purse earnings. Albatross (1968-1998) (Meadow Skipper-Voodoo Hanover) becomes the first horse, of any breed, to sire the winners of over $100 million.

1993
Cambest (Cam Fella-Oxford Mary Ann) paces the fastest mile in the sport's history with a 1:46.1 time trial. Staying Together (Panorama-Happily Involved) paces the fastest race mile in the sport's history with a 1:48.2 win at The Meadowlands.

1994
The mare Beat The Wheel (Defiant Yankee-Beat The Band) becomes the fastest trotter in a race with a 1:51.4 win at The Meadowlands. Pine Chip (Arndon-Pine Speed), driven by John Campbell, becomes the fastest trotter ever with a 1:51 time trial at Lexington, KY. Cam's Card Shark (Cam Fella-JEF's Magic Trick) sets a single season earnings record for pacers with $2,264,714. 54,926 daytime attendance record is set at The Delaware County Fair, Delaware, OH on Little Brown Jug Day.

1996
Pacer, Jenna's Beach Boy (Beach Towel-Five O'Clock Cindy), sets world records on mile, five-eighths and half-mile tracks, including a 1:47.3 - the fastest race mile ever.

1997
Mal Burroughs is the second amateur driver to win the Hambletonian Stake, with Malabar Man. In 1948, Harrison Hoyt, driving Demon Hanover, was the first amateur to win the race. Western Dreamer (Western Hanover-Fits Of Fun) takes the Pacing Triple Crown. Speedy Crown (1968-2000) (Speedy Scot-Missile Toe) is the first trotter to sire the winners of $100 million lifetime.

1999
The Empire City Trotting Club (Yonkers Raceway) is 100 years old. Self Possessed (Victory Dream-Feeling Great) wins the Hambletonian in 1:51.3. It is the fastest trotting race mile ever. The yearling trotting colt, Experience Victory, sells for a record $650,000 at the Kentucky Standardbred Sales auction. Speedy Crown daughter, Moni Maker 1:52.1, 1998 and 1999 Horse of the Year, becomes history's richest Standardbred, with $4.2 million in earnings. Blissfull Hall (Cambest-Hundred Kisses) wins the Pacing Triple Crown.

2000
Trotter, Moni Maker retires the richest Standardbred ever, with earnings of $5.59 million.

2001
Castleton Farms closes after 75 years as one of Harness Racing's premier racing stables, breeding farms and nurseries. Cameron Hall 2,1:56 ($639,426) (Garland Lobell-Canne Angus) breaks the $1 million barrier when he is sold at the Tattersall's December Mixed Sale.

2003
No Pan Intended (Pacific Fella-Classic Wish) ($1.58 million) becomes the 10th Pacing Triple Crown winner. He was purchased for $150,000 at the Tattersalls Select Yearling Sale.

2004
Windsong’s Legacy 3,1:53 ($1.7 million) (Conway Hall - Yankee Windsong) becomes the 7th Trotting Triple Crown winner.
