Thank you Chairman Pretlow for the opportunity to testify today on behalf of the Standardbred Owners Association of NY, an organization comprised of NYS harness horsemen, trainers, breeders, owners and agricultural representatives from all across New York State. As representatives of a harness racing and agriculture industry that has nearly an $800 million dollar annual economic impact and is responsible for thousands of jobs across virtually every region of the state, we are extremely concerned with the potential of any unregulated gambling product to negatively impact New York State racing.
