YONKERS RETURNS THIS WEEKENDA pair of 10-race cards were drawn for Friday and Saturday evenings (June 7th and 8th), with first post the usual 6:50 PM. Twin $44,000 Open Handicaps, for trotters (6th race) and pacers (8th race), highlight the Saturday programA couple of reminders... there are morning draws for the cards of Monday, June 10th (box closes Tuesday, June 4th) and Tuesday, June 11th (box closes Thursday, June 6th), before the regular late afternoon draw schedule returns Friday, June 7th (card of Thursday, June 13th). The morning box closes promptly at 9 AM. --when racing resumes, there's a Pick 5 guarantee going into effect. As part of the U.S. Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering Program and with the approval of the New York State Gaming Commission, a $10,000 guarantee is available every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening, the first night being Monday, June 10th. Should the sequence go unhit, the current 'instant guarantee' remains leading to the next racing program. The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising either races 6 through 10 (10-race card) or 7 through 11 (more than 10-race card). It has no consolation payoff, hence the shot at an "instant guarantee". More information shall be sent after the June 10th card is drawn.  News Archives |
