YONKERS, NY, Thursday, December 4, 2014-Jason Bartlett, putting the finishing touches on another Yonkers Raceway driving title, tentacled his way to eight wins Thursday night.

$9,000, 1st race pace-Bestnotlie Hanover ($2.90 in 1:54.3);
$9,000, 2nd race pace-Firetowers Stand ($5.70, $16.20 early double)
$9,000, 4th race pace-Military Stratcom ($3.80, 1:54.4);
$13,000, 8th race pace-Flying Instructor N ($4.50, 1:54.1);
$10,000, 9th race pace-Sea Cruise Hanover ($5.50, 1:55.2);
$10,000, 10th race pace-Stage It Right ($2.80, 1:56, $18 Pick 3).

It was second choice RD IOU ($6.80) in the $13,000, 11th race pace, sweeping from the rear to win going away in 1:55.1. Finally, 8-5 people's preference Canaco Star ($5.30) was up in the money in the $16,000, 12th race pace (1:54.1).

"Just one of those nights when everything went right," Bartlett said. "The horses were in good spots and right classes. Sometimes, it works out that way."

It was Bartlett's second eight-win night locally, the first Opening Night of the 2012 season.

The Raceway's five-program-per-week live schedule continues through Dec. 14, with first post every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:10 PM, and the fifth of six Sunday matinees (replacing Tuesday evenings) next weekend just after 11 AM. Evening simulcasting accompanies all night programs, with afternoon simulcasting available daily.
